OBJECTIVE

Children’s Mercy Hospital wanted to build a resource tool for children suffering from migraines. The tool was to provide change-of-lifestyle suggestions, as well as short-term solutions to ease pediatric migraine pain. Most importantly, this resource was to serve as a communication tool between children and their parents.

PROBLEM

This project had a limited budget with a lot of potential. To make the experience more effective interactive tools would be a necessity. Additionally, the tool needed to allow medical professionals to have access to resources and create full action plans for their patients. The site needed to do a lot with a little.

SOLUTION

The result was a responsive, WordPress website with interactive calculators and tools for children to learn about every-day life changes that will lessen migraines, as well as exercises for managing pain when experiencing them. Additionally, medical professionals have the ability to customize medical and lifestyle action plans for each of their patients; providing takeaway diaries and daily instructions.
