Challenge

iVet is a premium specialty pet food manufacturer with a mission to make it easier and more affordable for pet owners to follow their veterinarian’s recommended nutritional advice as part of an overall wellness plan.

Our challenge was to create and maintain a central web platform that could serve as both an eCommerce tool for patients, and a sales and customer relations tool for iVet’s growing network of veterinarians and pet owners.

Solutions

In partnership with SMI, we developed a WordPress multisite that integrates intuitive experiences for both audiences, and provides value for both vets and their patients.

Since 2018, we have implemented numerous custom development solutions and vital technical web maintenance to support and sustain the seamless platform and database integrations (like WooCommerce) that power veterinarian and pet owner site experiences.

Veterinarian Portal: Our veterinarian portal provides valuable data and insight into patient purchases. If a patient orders to a vet who isn’t in the iVet network yet, we developed custom workflows that assist in engaging the vet and incentivizing them to join the network, further building a database of sales-qualified leads for iVet.

Pet Owner Portal: Patients can easily shop the iVet store and order specialty nutrition products to their local veterinarian for pickup. The patient’s vet will receive commissions on their sales, and valuable perks by joining the iVet network of veterinarians.

WooCommerce Integration: We powered iVet’s pet owner shopping experience through WooCommerce’s integration with WordPress, allowing management for both the site and the store from one central admin.

Custom WordPress Admin: Keeping iVet.com performing to the best of its ability requires careful and diligent upkeep of its many plugins, integrations and third party services. Over the years, we have developed an impressive amount of custom features on the site’s back-end to meet the needs of iVet’s quickly growing business.

Advanced Tracking: We built the iVet site with detailed tracking parameters in place to arm iVet veterinarians with valuable data about their customers– like their shopping habits, pet information, and more.
